Context
In 1995, Las Vegas welcomes a Sublime still ahead of the national success of its third album. Robbin' the Hood is the most recent release, and the trio is still Bradley Nowell, Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh. The Huntridge places this meeting within the circuit of venues that sustains the band.
Nowell takes vocals and guitar, Wilson plays bass and Gaugh sits at the drums. Gwen Stefani steps in on Saw Red and brings the Robbin' the Hood duet to the stage. Scarlet Begonias, Hope and We're Only Gonna Die bring Grateful Dead, Descendents and Bad Religion together in the same performance.
The horizon changes in 1996: Nowell dies before the release of Sublime, the album that decisively widens the group's reach. Here, Garden Grove already appears on stage before that turn. The recording preserves only part of the performance and ends as another song begins, without keeping the close of the night.
- Garden Grove appears before the release of the third album.
