Context
On June 5, 1995, Faith No More arrives in Landgraaf with a major change already done. Jim Martin had left, Trey Spruance had recorded King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime and Dean Menta had taken over guitar for the tour. At Pinkpop, this lineup presents the record released in March.
Ricochet opens the set, and the new material takes six of the eleven songs in this edit. Evidence, Caralho Voador and King for a Day share the space with Caffeine, We Care a Lot and Epic. Near the end, the band turns the curfew into a vote: Bordin demonstrates the beats, and the crowd picks Digging the Grave over Just a Man.
The festival appearance is documented in radio and television broadcasts, with different selections from the set. The 48-minute edit preserves the ending chosen by the crowd but leaves out three songs played that afternoon. The recording captures a transitional lineup: Menta holds the guitar between the record Spruance played on and the later arrival of Jon Hudson.
- The crowd decides the closer between Just a Man and Digging the Grave.
