Context
In May 1995, Grace has not yet spent a full year on the road. Jeff Buckley reaches the Cabaret Metro after a run of shows in Europe and Japan, now on the American circuit. Chicago hosts the Mystery White Boy Tour on May 13, with the debut album at the center of the night.
Buckley sings and plays guitar alongside Michael Tighe, Mick Grondahl and Matt Johnson. Dream Brother opens the journey, which passes through Lover, You Should've Come Over and Last Goodbye. Kick Out the Jams brings the quartet close to MC5; in the encore, Vancouver arrives as an instrumental, before Kanga Roo and the closing Hallelujah.
After Chicago, the schedule continues across the United States and returns to Europe during the northern summer. The footage is released on VHS and DVD in 2000, three years after Buckley's death. Between the songs of Grace and pieces that were left off it, the recording preserves a body of work still in motion.
- Vancouver appears as an instrumental in the encore, followed by Kanga Roo and Hallelujah.
