“To see Gotthard close the acoustic run of the Defrosted Part II - Unplugged Tour in Biel/Bienne.”
Context
In November 2019, Gotthard arrives at the Kongresshaus in Biel/Bienne with a plan that swaps the electric show for the unplugged format. More than two decades after the first Defrosted, the Swiss band revisits that path in the Christmas Sessions, with Defrosted 2 already in stores and Nic Maeder on vocals.
Bang opens the run, followed by Sweet Little Rock 'n' Roller and Out on My Own. The set brings Remember It's Me close to the ballads One Life, One Soul and Heaven. Further on, Sister Moon leads into the drum solo, before Lift U Up and Anytime Anywhere carry the final stretch.
The night closes the itinerary of the Defrosted Part II - Unplugged Tour, which began in March 2018. The album had already captured that first leg; Biel/Bienne gets its own audiovisual record in the HENA Music Sessions, made available in January 2020. Smoke on the Water and the chorus of Bye Bye Caroline mark the farewell to this phase.
- Smoke on the Water comes before the final solos and the farewell with the chorus of Bye Bye Caroline.
