Context
At two in the afternoon on November 30, 2018, El Efecto meets its audience over the internet. At Estúdio Showlivre in São Paulo, the Rio band reaches sixteen years of independent work with Memórias do Fogo at the center of the performance.
O Drama da Humana Manada opens the run, followed by Café and Trovoada. Between blocks of songs, there is room to introduce the members and talk. O Monge e o Executivo and Carlos e Tereza keep the focus on the recent album; Incêndios comes before the close with Pedras e Sonhos, from 2012.
In January 2019, the session also gets an album edition on digital platforms. The Memórias do Fogo run continues through that year, carrying forward a work inspired by Eduardo Galeano's trilogy. The studio visit fixes this moment: an independent group turning musical research and social conflict into a road repertoire.
- Pedras e Sonhos closes the session after six songs from Memórias do Fogo.
