Album featured at the showLipservice2005The show presents eight songs from Lipservice before the album's release, during a run of Swiss club shows.“To see Gotthard present Lipservice in a Bern club, eleven days before its release.”
Context
On May 26, 2005, Lipservice is eleven days away from the stores. Gotthard takes over the Bierhübeli in Bern for the last of four Swiss club shows announced to showcase the new songs. Freddy Scherer, who replaced Mandy Meyer in 2004, already forms the guitar pairing with Leo Leoni.
Steve Lee opens the run with All We Are and Dream On. The new material dominates: Cupid's Arrow, Lift U Up and Anytime Anywhere share space with other tracks from the album. The edit breaks up the songs for three interviews with the singer. Heaven and One Life One Soul bring back the earlier repertoire before the close with Mighty Quinn.
The performance airs on SF2's Musicnight on the eve of the release. Lipservice reaches number one in Switzerland as the band takes this phase to other stages. In December, the show at Zurich's Hallenstadion becomes Made in Switzerland. Bern remains the club portrait that precedes that bigger release.
- Three interviews with Steve Lee run through the TV edit.
