Context
In March 2020, the meeting with the fans loses its address before it happens. The #13 release showcase was booked for Komplex Klub in Zurich, but the coronavirus halts the plans. Gotthard trades the venue for their rehearsal room in Lugano and plays without an audience.
Nic Maeder takes the vocals between the guitars of Leo Leoni and Freddy Scherer, with Marc Lynn on bass and Flavio Mezzodi on drums during Hena Habegger's absence. Every Time I Die opens the eight-song run. Bad News and Missteria present the new album; Remember It's Me and Feel What I Feel bring back earlier chapters.
ABBA's SOS closes the performance and is also on #13. The stream goes out through Blick TV and Rock Antenne, carrying the release beyond the empty room. The tour planned for that European spring is postponed by the pandemic. The recording remains a displaced celebration: the album arrives, but the in-person meeting has to wait.
- SOS closes the eight songs with the ABBA cover recorded for #13.
