Context
In July 1999, Gotthard reaches the Eiswiese lawn after taking the Open tour through European clubs. The acoustic success of D-Frosted had widened the Swiss band's reach. Now, in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the group presents songs from the album that carries that melodic opening forward.
Steve Lee takes the vocals, with Leo Leoni and Mandy Meyer on guitars, Marc Lynn on bass and Hena Habegger on drums. Movin' On opens the preserved run. You, Let It Rain and Back to You put Open at the center, before Hush and the close with One Life, One Soul.
The performance also reaches German television: BR's schedule includes Gotthard and Silent Faces in an edition of In Concert aired in March 2000. Homerun arrives the following year and extends the melodic direction. Taubertal remains a TV snapshot of this stretch, between the recognition of D-Frosted and the next studio chapter.
