Tour albumDial Hard1994 · Dial Hard TourThe second album drives the tour and supplies five of the performance's eight songs“To see Gotthard on German television in the year of their first number-one album in Switzerland.”
Context
In 1994, Gotthard reaches the Munich audience with only two studio albums and a new standing at home. Recorded in the United States, Dial Hard had taken the band to number one in Switzerland. The performance for German television captures this early expansion.
Steve Lee takes the vocals, with Leo Leoni on guitar and the rhythm section of Marc Lynn and Hena Habegger. Downtown opens the run, while Firedance brings back another title from the debut. Love for Money, Mountain Mama and She Goes Down put the second album at the center of the performance.
I'm On My Way closes the eight-song cut, before the changes that arrive with G. and Mandy Meyer joining in 1996. The recording remains tied to television, not to an identified DVD. Decades later, the 1994 performance returns to German programming in the retrospective series Back on Stage.
