Context
On March 22, 2006, the Tokyo Dome hosts the first Japanese night of the A Bigger Bang Tour. The journey began the year before and reaches Tokyo with a new album among the classics. Richie Kotzen opens; then the Stones come on with Jumpin' Jack Flash.
Jagger plays guitar on Rain Fall Down and shares Night Time Is the Right Time with Lisa Fischer. Richards switches to 12-string acoustic guitar for As Tears Go By and takes the vocals on This Place Is Empty and Happy. Miss You takes the band to the B-stage, bringing the quartet closer to another part of the crowd.
Two days later, the Stones return to the same stadium with another selection of songs. The tour runs until August 2007, but this first Tokyo night circulates in unofficial editions. The edit combines professional footage with soundboard audio and audience recording: a document parallel to the tour's official history.
- Lisa Fischer shares Night Time Is the Right Time with Jagger.
