Context
On May 30, 2026, Philadelphia hosts a finale that the sports calendar helped write. The show, originally set for the 8th, was postponed because of the NBA and NHL playoffs. Now the Xfinity Mobile Arena hosts the last of the twenty dates of the Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour.
Springsteen opens with War and works through Born in the U.S.A. before reaching The Clash's Clampdown. Tom Morello joins this block and returns on American Skin and The Ghost of Tom Joad. Amid horns, choir and guitars, House of a Thousand Guitars leaves room for Bruce alone, in an acoustic version.
The night takes shape as a film directed by Chris Hilson and Thom Zimny. The release begins in September, published in successive segments and dedicated to Dave Marsh. Philadelphia Freedom Cut preserves the close of a tour that makes the defense of American democracy the stated axis of the stage.
- House of a Thousand Guitars puts Bruce alone in an acoustic version.
