“To see Social Distortion at Hellfest six weeks after ending fifteen years without a studio album.”
Context
Fifteen years separate Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes from Born To Kill. When Social Distortion reach Clisson on June 18, 2026, the new record has been out for just six weeks. The gap includes the recording sessions halted by Mike Ness's cancer treatment, announced in 2023.
On the Warzone stage, Born to Kill opens a run of twelve songs. Tonight, No Way Out and Partners in Crime also put the recent work into circulation. The Creeps and Mommy's Little Monster pull the night back to the first album; Ball and Chain and Story of My Life fill the middle stretch of the performance.
Dear Lover and Don't Drag Me Down close the trip through the repertoire, both tied to White Light, White Heat, White Trash. ARTE's filming preserves this festival stop as a broadcast, without relying on a DVD release. The recording captures a concrete change: after so many delays, the new songs finally share space with the old ones.
- Four tracks from Born To Kill make the twelve-song set.
