Tour albumSeasons of the Dark Hive“To watch the Belgian duo at M’era Luna 2026, with bagpipes and davul at the center.”
Context
On August 8, 2026, M’era Luna hosts an act built around acoustic instruments and medieval references. The Belgian duo Tabernis brings to Hildesheim its pairing of dark music with the imagery of beekeeping. The performance fits that identity to the festival, without relying on a conventional guitars-and-drums lineup.
The bagpipes and the davul, a two-headed drum, carry the instrumental approach. Medieval melodies, harmonies and the image of buzzing bees shape the duo's world. The recording captures about 38 minutes of this M’era Luna set, in a language tied to percussion and the continuous drone of the pipes.
ARTE preserves the performance as part of its festival coverage. The recording works as a portrait of Tabernis in Hildesheim that European summer. The interest lies in the combination of instruments, references and visual identity that gives the project its shape, without crediting the duo with the resources of other bands on the bill.
