Context
On March 12, 1995, Club Citta', in Kawasaki, welcomes an Annihilator reorganized around Jeff Waters. King of the Kill had also put the guitarist in the lead singer's role in the studio. The Japanese tour takes that setup to the stage, with Dave Scott Davis, Cam Dixon and Randy Black.
Waters splits the guitars with Davis, while Dixon takes bass and Black sits behind the drums. Alison Hell opens the show. The recent material comes in with Bad Child, The Box and the title track, but the night also revisits Stonewall and Never, Neverland. Riff Raff adds AC/DC to the meeting of different eras.
After this pass through Japan, the next studio chapter arrives with Refresh the Demon, in 1996. The Kawasaki footage takes another path: it circulates among collectors as an unofficial DVD, preserving almost two hours of that lineup. The record keeps together the songwriter at the mic and the quartet taking that change on the road.
- Riff Raff puts AC/DC among the medleys and the songs from the early albums.
