Tour albumMeliora2015 · Black to the Future European Tour 2015The tour promotes Meliora, Ghost's third album, with eight tracks played live at the Annexet.“To see Papa Emeritus III at a sold-out Annexet, on one of the two Swedish dates in the fall of 2015.”
Context
On November 13, 2015, the Annexet is sold out for one of Ghost's two Swedish shows that fall. Meliora had arrived in August, and Papa Emeritus III had taken over the role in June. The European leg of Black to the Future finds the band in front of a home crowd.
Spirit opens the proceedings, followed by From the Pinnacle to the Pit. The third record accounts for eight songs played live, but Ritual and Con Clavi Con Dio keep the first album in the ceremony. In the encore, Jigolo Har Megiddo gets an acoustic version; If You Have Ghosts comes before the final return for Monstrance Clock.
The night also travels beyond the Annexet's walls through Sveriges Radio's broadcast. The audiovisual recording combines that radio feed with footage shot by audience members, preserving the performance in an independent edit. In the following months, Cirice wins the Grammy for best metal performance, widening the reach of that era.
- Jigolo Har Megiddo appears in an acoustic version in the first encore.
