Context
In October 2014, the partnership between Jeff Waters and Dave Padden still fronts Annihilator. Feast, released the year before, is the most recent work. At the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, the Canadian band plays Hell & Heaven with Oscar Rangel on bass and Mike Harshaw on drums.
On the Heaven stage, Smear Campaign opens a ten-song sequence. King of the Kill follows, before No Way Out brings Feast back to the center. The set reaches back to the early albums with I Am in Command, Alison Hell and Road to Ruin; Human Insecticide closes the show.
The night comes right before an important change: in December, Padden leaves the band after eleven years. Waters takes back lead vocals on the next album, 2015's Suicide Society. The ExpressCast broadcast preserves this 2014 lineup, still with the two guitarists up front, before the split.
