Context
On December 17, 1983, Dortmund marks the end of the road for the Blackout Tour. After taking the band through Europe, North America and Asia, the cycle ends at the Westfalenhalle, as part of Rockpop in Concert. The Scorpions arrive with Blackout behind them and Coming Home already in the set, before its release on record.
Klaus Meine handles vocals, with Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs on guitars, Francis Buchholz on bass and Herman Rarebell on drums. Blackout opens the run of ten songs. Always Somewhere and Holiday share space with Can't Live Without You and Dynamite; at the close, Can't Get Enough incorporates Six String Sting.
The following year, Coming Home finds its place on Love at First Sting, and the band enters another touring cycle. The Dortmund recording gets an official DVD release in 2015, alongside the anniversary reissue of Blackout. Make It Real and The Zoo, missing from the original ZDF broadcast, become part of this portrait of the tour's farewell.
- Can't Get Enough closes the show with Six String Sting.
