Context
Berlin welcomes the Scorpions on the first leg of the Crazy World tour. The group arrives at the Deutschlandhalle with a freshly released album and a change in production: Keith Olsen takes the place once held by Dieter Dierks. On stage, the quintet remains: Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Francis Buchholz and Herman Rarebell.
Bad Boys Running Wild opens the selection, and Hit Between the Eyes introduces the new batch right after. I Can't Explain brings The Who into the sequence. The Zoo and Rhythm of Love cover earlier phases, while Crazy World and Lust or Love keep the tour's album in rotation.
The recording is released on VHS in 1991, with performances and music videos interspersed. Part of the footage resurfaces on the DVD A Savage Crazy World in 2002. Without the videos, this edit focuses on twelve songs and ends with Big City Nights and Rock You Like a Hurricane: two pillars of the repertoire that came before the new album.
- I Can't Explain puts The Who among the Scorpions' own songs.
