Context
The Crazy Nights Tour took the group back to Japan in 1988, with Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Bruce Kulick and Eric Carr. The April 22 concert took place at the Nippon Budokan, in Tokyo. The tour's album supplied new songs for a lineup performing without makeup.
Love Gun opens the performance, before Cold Gin and Bang Bang You. Crazy Crazy Nights, No, No, No and Reason to Live spread the recent material through the first segment. Bruce's solo appears between the title track and No, No, No; Eric and Gene also get individual spots before the final block of classics.
The set makes it possible to compare the 1987 album with songs from different earlier stages, from Strutter to Heaven’s on Fire. The upload's description supplies the chapters used in this entry. The April 22 date should be kept: the Japanese concert announced as a bonus on Kissology Volume Two corresponds to the previous night, and does not prove a release of this performance.
- Reason to Live appears before Heaven’s on Fire
