Context
In 1977, Love Gun expanded the repertoire of the original lineup, which took the album to North American stages. The concert at The Summit, in Houston, belongs to that leg. Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss play recent songs alongside material already associated with the band's shows.
I Stole Your Love starts the sequence, and the new album also appears in Love Gun, Hooligan, Christine Sixteen and Shock Me. Ace's solo follows the latter. Further on, God of Thunder is split by Peter's solo, while the final block gathers Detroit Rock City, Beth and Black Diamond.
The edit documents a spread of lead vocals that includes Ace on Shock Me and Peter on Hooligan and Beth. The September 2 show was included in Kissology Volume One, devoted to the band's early years. The chapters posted with this upload make it possible to tell the songs apart from the solos and to identify the return of God of Thunder.
- God of Thunder returns after Peter Criss's solo
