Conjurer — Bloodstock Open Air 2021

Heavy skies hang over Derbyshire on the morning of August 14, 2021. Conjurer takes the main stage at Bloodstock after returning to festivals at Download Pilot. The pandemic had halted shows but also made room to work on Páthos. On the grass at Catton Park, Mire still supplies most of the songs.

Brady Deeprose shares guitar and vocal duties with Dani Nightingale, while Conor Marshall and Jan Krause anchor the bass and drums. Thankless opens the identified sequence, followed by Scorn, from the EP I. During Retch, rain reaches the field. Hadal closes the performance with Marshall entering the crowd, carrying the movement from the stage into the pit.

The recording captures the band between its first album and the arrival of its second, still with Krause on drums. His departure comes after the 2021 festivals, though he remains on the Páthos recordings. The album arrives in July 2022. The Bloodstock footage preserves this interval: the return to the stage before the lineup change.
