Context
The temperature is already above 30 degrees on Saturday morning at Catton Park. On August 13, 2022, Lorna Shore takes the Ronnie James Dio Stage exactly one year after ...And I Return to Nothingness. The EP introduced Will Ramos in the studio and brought the band a new level of attention.
To the Hellfire opens a sequence that follows the EP's three tracks in their original order. Ramos handles vocals, while Austin Archey anchors the drums alongside guitarists Adam De Micco and Andrew O'Connor and bassist Michael Yager. Sun//Eater, Cursed to Die and Into the Earth round out the six songs.
The set points toward an album that has yet to reach stores. Pain Remains comes out in October, expanding on the era that began with Ramos, and the band continues through Europe ahead of its release. In February 2023, the full Bloodstock recording gets an official release, preserving the meeting point between the breakthrough EP and the next step.
- The six songs split the show between ...And I Return to Nothingness and the first singles from Pain Remains.
