Memoriam — Bloodstock Open Air 2021

Five years after their first Bloodstock appearance, Memoriam returns with four albums and a change on drums. Spikey T. Smith had replaced Andy Whale in 2020 and recorded To the End. On August 14, 2021, this lineup takes the Sophie Lancaster Stage at Catton Park.

Karl Willetts leads eleven songs, with Scott Fairfax on guitar and Frank Healy on bass. Undefeated clears the way for Shell Shock; Onwards Into Battle, This War Is Won and To the End bring the new album to the center. War Rages On sustains the menace, while Flatline closes the set.

The band's next chapter leads to Rise to Power, released in February 2023. Between the two albums, this performance remains a snapshot of the era that began with Smith: a group already far removed from its status as a side project for veterans. The full recording preserves this meeting of recent material and songs accumulated since the debut.
