Orange Goblin — Bloodstock Open Air 2021

In August 2021, the return to Bloodstock also marks a change within Orange Goblin. Harry Armstrong has just taken over on bass following founding member Martyn Millard's departure. The band arrives in Walton-on-Trent after its 25th anniversary celebrations, postponed by the pandemic, while the festival celebrates two decades.

On the Ronnie James Dio stage, Ben Ward leads the quartet under the afternoon sun. Joe Hoare handles guitar, Chris Turner takes the drums, and Armstrong completes the new lineup. Sons of Salem leads into Scorpionica and The Man Who Invented Time. The crowd responds by chanting the band's name before They Come Back.

After the festival, the 2021 schedule still includes UK shows and an announced run through Scandinavia. The professionally filmed recording begins circulating in April 2022 and captures this lineup's early days. With an established repertoire and a new bassist, it documents a return that does not depend on a newly released album.
