Context
On July 7, 1994, Sonoria opens its first edition at Acquatica Park in Milan. Sepultura and Helmet share a bill that also includes Aerosmith and Whitesnake. The Brazilians arrive with Chaos A.D. on the road, having traded some of the speed of their earlier albums for a greater emphasis on groove.
Max Cavalera takes vocals and guitar alongside Andreas Kisser, Paulo Jr. and Igor Cavalera. Refuse/Resist and Territory open the way for seven tracks from Chaos A.D. Troops of Doom and Inner Self keep the past close; Andreas' solo comes before Kaiowas. At the close, Helmet join the medley Polícia / Victory, by Titãs and Biohazard.
After Milan, the tour moves on through North America and stops in Brazil in November. The cycle gets an official document in 1995, with the VHS Third World Chaos, which gathers excerpts from other shows and backstage footage. The Sonoria television recording preserves another slice of this era: a stage sequence focused on Chaos A.D.
- Polícia / Victory closes the show with Helmet in a medley of Titãs and Biohazard.
