Helmet

Helmet formed in New York in 1989 around guitarist and singer Page Hamilton. After releasing Strap It On on the Amphetamine Reptile label, the band signed with Interscope and rose to prominence with Meantime, from 1992. Betty, from 1994, broadened the repertoire, and Aftertaste came out in 1997. The group ended its activities in 1998, but Hamilton re-formed it in 2003; the band released Left in 2023.
