KISS

Formed in New York in 1973, KISS turned rock into a comic-book spectacle: makeup, platform boots, fire, fake blood and smoking guitars. Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss created characters bigger than the songs themselves, and Alive! proved that the stage was the band's real studio.

Between “Rock and Roll All Nite”, the unmasked 1980s and the 1996 reunion, it became a global brand and closed the End of the Road tour in 2023 at Madison Square Garden.
