Context
Heat marks Bloodstock in August 2022 at Catton Park. On Friday, August 12, Discharge takes the Sophie Lancaster Stage, bringing Stoke-on-Trent punk to a metal festival. Forty years after Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing, its songs remain at the center of the gathering.
JJ Janiak takes the microphone, with Bones and Tezz on guitars, Rainy on bass and Dave on drums. The Blood Runs Red opens the set, followed by Fight Back. The set also moves through Accessories by Molotov and Hype Overload before reaching Never Again, Realities of War and Decontrol.
In July 2023, the festival itself releases the full performance on video. It runs under forty minutes, with sixteen songs preserved in their stage order. The recording captures a five-piece lineup playing a set that spans decades without relying on tracks from the then-latest End of Days.
