GWAR

GWAR formed in Richmond, Virginia, in 1984, combining heavy metal, monstrous costumes, and a science-fiction mythology. Scumdogs of the Universe, released in 1990, and America Must Be Destroyed, released in 1992, marked their period of greatest prominence. After vocalist Dave Brockie's death in 2014, the band continued with Michael Bishop on vocals and released The Blood of Gods in 2017 and The New Dark Ages in 2022.
