Devin Townsend

Devin Townsend seems to have built a cathedral inside an explosion. Coming from extreme metal and studio discipline, he turned each album into a mask, an exorcism or a cosmic joke: from industrial violence to ambient, from space opera to metallic pop. His career is less a straight line than a seismic map, where anxiety, humor and virtuosity collide until they reveal a strange kind of peace.

Why listen to Devin Townsend?

Few artists make collapse sound so vast, so funny and so absurdly human.
