“To see Floor Jansen return to the Pinkpop stage with Nightwish after her solo performance the same day.”
Context
On June 17, 2022, Floor Jansen works a double shift in Landgraaf. After presenting her solo work at Pinkpop, she returns to the stage with Nightwish. The band is on the Human. :||: Nature. tour, delayed by the pandemic, and arrives at the festival with Jukka Koskinen on bass, still as a touring musician.
The one-hour slot condenses the show into ten songs. Noise opens the way for Planet Hell and Tribal, while Élan and Storytime cross different phases of the group. Tuomas Holopainen, Emppu Vuorinen, Troy Donockley and Kai Hahto complete the sextet. Shoemaker takes the final stretch before Last Ride of the Day and Ghost Love Score.
In August, Koskinen officially joins the band, consolidating the lineup already seen at Pinkpop. The tour runs until June 2023 and leads to a break from the stage. The festival's professional footage preserves this point of transition: an album released in 2020 finally hits the road, and a new lineup gains continuity.
- Ghost Love Score closes the ten-song run.
