Context
Fifteen years separate Temple of Shadows from the night of May 4, 2019. At a packed Tom Brasil, Edu Falaschi returns to the album he recorded with Angra, now leading his own band. Aquiles Priester and Fabio Laguna revisit this repertoire alongside the Orquestra Bachiana Filarmônica and João Carlos Martins.
Beethoven's Fifth Symphony opens the way for Gate XIII, moved from the album's close to the start of the celebration. The band comes in with Spread Your Fire. Kai Hansen shares The Temple of Hate with Edu; Sabine Edelsbacher and Michael Vescera also sing. Guilherme Arantes brings Late Redemption close to Planeta Água, while Roberto Barros takes Vivaldi to the guitar.
The night travels beyond that room: in August 2020, it comes out first in Japan on DVD, Blu-ray and CD. The release centers on the Angra tribute but also preserves Streets of Florence and The Glory of the Sacred Truth, songs from his solo career. Between collective memory and his own signature, Edu puts his name on the cover.
- Guilherme Arantes sings Late Redemption and brings Planeta Água into the meeting of band and orchestra.
- Gate XIII moves from the album's close to the opening of the block devoted to Temple of Shadows.
