Context
In November 2000, Montreal hosts both North American dates of the Wishmaster World Tour. Nightwish arrives at Le Medley after taking its music beyond Europe that year. With three albums out, the band finds in Canada one more stop on that international expansion.
Tarja Turunen takes the vocals in front of Tuomas Holopainen's keyboards, Emppu Vuorinen's guitar, Sami Vänskä's bass and Jukka Nevalainen's drums. She Is My Sin opens the set. Wishmaster shares space with Oceanborn, while Elvenpath keeps the first album on stage.
The sequence saves the third part of FantasMic and Dead Boy's Poem before reaching Walking in the Air and Wishmaster. The tour runs into 2001 and also yields the DVD From Wishes to Eternity, filmed in Tampere. Montreal remains an unofficially circulated document of this lineup.
