Context
On April 5, 2003, Credicard Hall hosts a band with just one album and a web of guests spanning Brazilian and European metal. Ritual had introduced Shaman; Fairy Tale had already reached television in O Beijo do Vampiro. Now the original lineup prepares its first live recording.
Andre Matos shares the stage with Hugo and Luis Mariutti, Ricardo Confessori and keyboardist Fábio Ribeiro. Marcus Viana brings his violin to Over Your Head and Fairy Tale, while George Mouzayek adds the derbak. Tobias Sammet and Sascha Paeth come in on Sign of the Cross and Pride; Andi Deris and Michael Weikath take on Eagle Fly Free.
The night comes out on CD and DVD that same year. Not everything survives the edit: Crazy Me, Inside and Breaking the Law are left out. The DVD keeps the individual solos and the visit to the Angra repertoire. Before Reason opens another phase, RituAlive captures the meeting between Shaman's debut and its stage partners.
- Marcus Viana joins on Over Your Head and Fairy Tale on electric violin.
- Andi Deris and Michael Weikath join the band on Eagle Fly Free.
