Context
In May 1999, France already holds an important place in Angra's international career. The Fireworks tour had passed through Japan and Europe, including a large-scale show in Paris. In Évry, the Hard Rock Festival welcomes the band with Andre Matos still out front.
Wings of Reality opens the set played on stage, and Fireworks supplies four more songs: Lisbon, Metal Icarus, Paradise and Petrified Eyes. Carolina IV splits into two passages, with room for bass and drums. Kiko Loureiro and Rafael Bittencourt also get their guitar duel before the home stretch.
Carry On and the Painkiller cover close the show. The following year, Matos, Luis Mariutti and Ricardo Confessori leave the group, ending this lineup. The Évry recording remains an audience document: the multi-camera edit combines two shoots and audio captured in the crowd, preserving a night from this quintet's last tour.
- Carolina IV unfolds in two parts, with bass and drum solos.
- Kiko Loureiro and Rafael Bittencourt share a guitar duel.
