“To see Michael Jackson in front of Diana and Charles at Wembley, during his first solo tour.”
Context
On July 16, 1988, Wembley holds 72,000 people, among them Diana and Charles. Michael Jackson arrives in London with his first solo tour, launched the year before to promote Bad. The scale is stadium-sized, but the story he brings to the stage begins with the Jackson 5.
Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' opens the journey. Jackson shares I Just Can't Stop Loving You with Sheryl Crow and gathers three Jackson 5 songs in a medley. Between Thriller and Workin' Day and Night, Bad Groove gives the band the floor. The finale goes to Man in the Mirror, after Billie Jean and Bad.
The tour runs until 1989; the recording gets an official DVD release in 2012, also in the Bad 25 package. The picture comes from Jackson's personal VHS tape, restored for the release. The bonus material adds another Wembley night and two performances from Yokohama: the document also preserves different stages of that first solo tour.

Trivia
Diana and Charles are among the 72,000 people at the stadium.
The meeting with Diana and Charles delays the show and leads to the removal of The Way You Make Me Feel, included on the DVD as a bonus from another Wembley night.
The DVD uses a VHS copy that belonged to Michael Jackson.
