Aborted

Aborted formed in 1995 in Waregem, Belgium, founded by vocalist Sven de Caluwé. After debuting with The Purity of Perversion in 1999, the band solidified its blend of death metal and grindcore on albums such as Goremageddon: The Saw and the Carnage Done and The Archaic Abattoir. The lineup changed repeatedly, but De Caluwé remained at the helm of the group, which continued releasing albums, including 2024's Vault of Horrors.
