Context
On August 12, 2023, protective coveralls and bathroom props fill the Sophie Lancaster Stage at Catton Park. Gutalax arrives at Bloodstock with The Shitpendables as its latest release. The contrast is set: the playful appearance accompanies one of that Saturday's most extreme acts.
Maty alternates squeals and guttural vocals while Kojas, Kebab, and Mr. Free hold down guitar, bass, and drums. Diarrhero opens the musical proceedings; Poopcorn and Vaginapocalypse bring more material from The Shitpendables. The toilet humor does not soften the weight of the riffs. It serves as a way in, though the abrasiveness can also be jarring.
After Shitbusters, Toi Toi Story and Strejda Donald close out the sequence. The performance remains in the festival's audiovisual archive and takes on another form in March 2025 with the CD Live at Bloodstock 2023. The album collects eleven tracks: a shorter selection than the filmed recording, which also preserves Robocock and Vaginapocalypse.
- Protective coveralls and bathroom props contrast with heavy riffs and guttural vocals.
