Context
At four on a Friday afternoon, deathcore takes over Bloodstock's main stage. On August 11, 2023, Fit for an Autopsy arrives at Catton Park with Oh What the Future Holds still its latest album. Hellions, released months earlier, adds new material to the European run.
Joe Badolato leads ten songs in 45 minutes. A Higher Level of Hate opens the way; Iron Moon and Black Mammoth revisit The Great Collapse. Screams meet abrasive riffs before a receptive crowd. Between Warfare and Absolute Hope Absolute Hell, Hellions brings the new material close to the band's more brutal roots.
Pandora and Far From Heaven close the set and return the focus to the sixth album. The full recording begins circulating in March 2024, preserving this afternoon on the Ronnie James Dio Stage. Later that year, The Nothing That Is follows Oh What the Future Holds. Bloodstock captures the moment before that change of chapter.
- Hellions brings the festival a new track from The Aggression Sessions, released months earlier.
