Ignea — Bloodstock Open Air 2024

A Ukrainian flag waves in front of the main stage at Catton Park on August 10, 2024. Ignea makes its Bloodstock debut during its summer tour, with Dreams of Lands Unseen still a recent release. The 2023 album turns the travels of photographer and documentary filmmaker Sofia Yablonska into metal with symphonic scope.

Dunes opens the set, followed by Camera Obscura and Далекі Обрії. Helle Bohdanova alternates clean singing and growls, while Yevhenii Zhytniuk's keytar trades melodies with Dmytro Vinnichenko's guitar. The singer calls for audience participation, gets a response, and leads the quintet through to the closing Alexandria and Leviathan, an Ultra Sheriff cover.

After Catton Park, the route continues to Bochum and Dresden. In December, the full performance is released in collaboration with the festival, mixed by Dmitry Kim. The recording preserves a precise snapshot of this stop in England: nine songs, three of them from the latest album, before an audience still discovering the band.
