Context
On August 8, 2025, Kataklysm takes the closing slot on the Sophie Lancaster Stage at Bloodstock in Catton Park. Goliath, released two years earlier, still guides the European run. But there is something new among the familiar albums: The Rabbit Hole, a standalone single released in May of that year.
Maurizio Iacono leads sixteen songs with Jean-François Dagenais on guitar, Stéphane Barbe on bass and James Payne on drums. The Ambassador of Pain clears the way for Goliath, Bringer of Vengeance and Combustion. Before As I Slither, the vocalist breaks the sequence to announce Payne's birthday. The Black Sheep closes the night.
The European route continues to Brutal Assault in the Czech Republic and other August festivals. The English stop lives on in a full recording running just over an hour, made available in November 2025. Without limiting itself to the tour's album, the recording brings together songs from different decades and also preserves the birthday break between the onslaughts.
- James Payne's birthday gets a break before As I Slither.
