Context
On August 10, 2024, the Ronnie James Dio Stage welcomes four Brazilian women in the midst of international touring. Crypta arrives at Bloodstock after touring the United States and Europe. Shades of Sorrow, released the previous year, accounts for nearly the entire set at Catton Park.
The recorded intro The Aftermath leads into The Other Side of Anger. Fernanda Lira handles vocals and bass, while Tainá Bergamaschi and Jéssica di Falchi take on guitars and Luana Dametto drives the drums. Lift the Blindfold gets the crowd moving, with people carried over the pit in front of the stage.
From the Ashes closes the set and establishes the link to Echoes of the Soul, the band's debut. In the weeks ahead, the schedule points to a US tour with Hatebreed. The festival recording preserves this meeting between the Shades of Sorrow lineup and Bloodstock's main stage.
- From the Ashes closes the show as the only venture into the debut album.
