Whitechapel

Whitechapel formed in Knoxville, United States, in 2006. The band debuted with The Somatic Defilement in 2007 and gained prominence in deathcore with This Is Exile, released the following year. After exploring clean vocals on Mark of the Blade, the band moved toward a more personal sound on The Valley, inspired by vocalist Phil Bozeman's childhood. The group remained active and released Hymns in Dissonance in 2025.
