Context
On August 15, 2000, the Sopot racecourse hosts the close of the European leg of the Twenty Four Seven Tour. Tina Turner arrives in Poland with her 1999 album in tow and a career that lets her span decades without dropping the songs from the beginning.
On stage, A Fool in Love and River Deep, Mountain High sit alongside Private Dancer and When the Heartache Is Over. Lisa Fischer and Stacey Campbell take over Hot Legs. John Miles shares Try a Little Tenderness with Tina, while Proud Mary comes before the Nutbush City Limits encore.
After Sopot, the tour moves on to North America and ends in December. The Polish night survives as a live broadcast on TVP1. The DVD release from this tour takes another path: One Last Time Live in Concert preserves the Wembley shows, not this night at the racecourse.
- Lisa Fischer and Stacey Campbell take over Hot Legs, and John Miles sings with Tina on Try a Little Tenderness.
