Context
In July 1999, Creed arrives on Woodstock's last day with one album out and another on the way. The stage sits on the former Griffiss Air Force Base, in Rome, New York. The show takes place before Human Clay changed the band's commercial scale.
Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips carry a set dominated by the debut. Torn opens the sequence, followed by Ode and In America. Say I and Faceless Man preview the next era. My Own Prison, One and What’s This Life For round out the ten-song selection.
The original night also welcomes Robby Krieger, of The Doors, on two songs by his old band. That block is left out of the upload, which goes from One to What’s This Life For. The recording preserves a Creed from before the second album's release, with the debut still defining its identity.
