Tina Turner

Born Anna Mae Bullock in Nutbush, Tennessee, Tina Turner began her career alongside Ike Turner, with whom she recorded hits like “River Deep – Mountain High” and “Proud Mary”. After leaving the duo in 1976, she went through a period of little activity until relaunching her solo career with Private Dancer in 1984, which featured “What’s Love Got to Do with It”.

She released records and toured until saying goodbye to the stage in 2009; she died in 2023.
