Rotting Christ — Bloodstock Open Air 2024

At 2:55 p.m. on August 9, 2024, Greek black metal takes the main stage at Bloodstock in Catton Park. Rotting Christ arrives at the English festival with Pro Xristou newly released and a schedule celebrating 35 years together. The stop in Walton-on-Trent is part of the festival circuit for this album.

Sakis Tolis handles vocals and guitar, with Themis Tolis on drums, Kostis Foukarakis on the other guitar, and Kostas Heliotis on bass. 666 opens a nine-song run. Like Father, Like Son represents the new release, while four tracks from Κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού anchor the middle of the set.

Grandis Spiritus Diavolos closes the performance, following a turn through Societas Satanas by the side project Thou Art Lord. The schedule continues through the summer festivals and, in the European fall, shows with Borknagar and Seth.
