Moonsorrow

Moonsorrow formed in Helsinki, Finland, in 1995, founded by cousins Henri and Ville Sorvali. The band began with demos and released Suden Uni, its first album, in 2001. Kivenkantaja and Verisäkeet gave more room to Finnish folk and long compositions. On 2007's Viides luku – Hävitetty, two pieces fill roughly an hour. The group remains active and released Jumalten aika in 2016.
