Context
On June 20, 2026, Clisson welcomes Behemoth a little more than a year after The Shit Ov God. The Poles return to Hellfest with the new album in the foreground. Pale makeup and the staging of a satanic mass give shape to the meeting of black and death metal.
Nergal handles vocals and guitar, with Seth on the other guitar, Orion on bass and Inferno on drums. The Shadow Elite opens the run of thirteen songs. The recent album's title track and Nomen Barbarvm share space with Conquer All and Bartzabel. The Return of Darkness and Evil brings Bathory into the celebration.
O Father O Satan O Sun closes the encore and hands the finale back to The Satanist, which also supplies Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer and Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel. The set reaches a wider audience through the ARTE Concert broadcast, directed by Thierry Villeneuve. The recording preserves this festival stop by a veteran band without reducing its history to the latest release.
- The Return of Darkness and Evil slips Bathory in among the band's own songs.
- O Father O Satan O Sun closes the encore.
