Context
In March 2011, Panic! At The Disco is preparing the arrival of Vices & Virtues. Before the release, the band plays a private session for X103.9 listeners, in Phoenix. The meeting takes place at Sanderson Ford Studio X on March 9. The acoustic format offers a short performance, outside the usual script of a tour show.
The Ballad of Mona Lisa opens the selection, previewing the album that arrives that month. Then come Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off and I Write Sins Not Tragedies. Nine in the Afternoon represents Pretty. Odd., while New Perspective rounds out the set. Five songs gathered in a sequence of studio performances.
The upload collects videos that were posted separately. The session captures the transition to the third album, but Pretty. Odd. is still the most recent album at the time of the recording. That difference separates the promotion of the new material from the catalog already released.
